MONSA^® 940 is a polyvinyl carboxy polymer. It is used as a viscosity enhancer, gelling agent or suspension agent. It is graded suitable for personal care, cosmetic and pharmaceutical applications.

Carbomer is a polymeric substance derived from cross-linked acrylic acid, serving as an efficient rheology modifier in the formulation of personal care products like gels and creams. It imparts a high level of viscosity with a minimal amount used, offering superior thickening and suspending capabilities. The formulation's non-drip characteristic makes it well-suited for products such as transparent gels and hydroalcoholic formulations. Upon neutralization with a base, Carbomer results in the formation of clear gels and creams suitable for a variety of skin care applications.
