Ceteareth-25 is commonly used as an emulsifier in personal care products such as skin care and hair care products. It helps to keep the skin and hair smooth, supple, and elastic. Ceteareth-25 is a colorless and odorless compound that attracts oil and water, thus keeping the formulation stable. It is an O/W type emulsifier based on derivatives of cetyl alcohol, oleyl alcohol, and is stable over a wide pH range. It has a wide range of uses in industrial, textile, petroleum, fragrance and cosmetics applications, such as detergent applications, solubilizers and emulsifiers. In addition, Ceteareth-25 is used in cosmetics as an emulsifier, detergent, surfactant, and solubilizer to help form oil-in-water emulsions and is compatible with other ingredients.
