INCI name: Sodium Xylenesulfonate
MONSA® SXS-40 is a white or light yellow liquid surfactant and is soluble in water. It is widely used in the manufacture of daily detergents, and is a new and efficient solubilizing conditioner for detergents with low toxicity.
Sodium Xylenesulfonate is used in liquid detergent formulations as a solubilizer, coupling agent and cloud point depressant. Its hydrotropic or solubilizing property allows materials to be incorporated in formulations that normally are incompatible. It is also useful in lowering the cloud point or crystallization temperature of complex blends.
